Fred Smith Jr.

Fred Smith Jr., age 81, of Kirkwood passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 in Lancaster. He was the husband of the late Sadie Marie Jones Smith. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Fred Sr. and Cora Smith.

Fred enjoyed westerns, country music, and horses.

He is survived by 3 sons: Jamie R., husband of Greta Eckman Smith of Lancaster, Ryan, husband of Ryan Mussleman Smith of Pequea, Ronald B. Smith of Columbia, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, a sister Nancy Winters of Lancaster, and his girlfriend, Linda Eshelman.

He is preceded in death by 3 sisters.

A memorial service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 E. State Street, Quarryville, PA 17566 on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 7 pm with a time to visit the family from 6 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Colerain Baptist Cemetery.
