David J. Powell

David J. Powell Jr., age 32 of Quarryville, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at home surrounded by love from his family. He was the husband of his devoted wife, Victoria McMullen Powell. He was born in Delaware County, the son of David J. Sr. and Karen Genthert Powell of Oxford. Dave attended Waterway Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, enjoying time in the mountains for getaways with his wife, family and friends and going on tropical vacations to Mexico.  He shared a great love for his dog, Hemi, and 2 cats, Smith and Wesson.

Funeral service will take place from Waterway Church, 550 Waterway Road, Oxford, on Saturday, April 29th at 1 p.m. with a viewing from 11a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be may to American Cancer Society, donate.cancer.org or to Brandywine River Valley Hospice.
