David A. Feister

David A. Feister, age 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at home.  He was the husband of Erma F. Murry Feister.  Born in Paradise, he was the son of the late Carl R. and Eleanor A. Lowery Feister.  David was a member of Grace Community Church.  He loved to travel, especially on bus trips or riding his motorcycle, refinishing furniture, and spending time in Wellsboro or the beach. Dave was a painter and paperhanger by trade, eventually working for the maintenance department at Millersville University as the paint foreman, where he oversaw both interior and exterior painting needs throughout the university. In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons: Dwight husband of Teressa Reed Feister of Paradise, Douglas husband of Christa Stohl Feister of Lancaster, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Gordon C. husband of the late Lois Feister of Paradise.  He was preceded in death by a sister Lorraine Welk.

There will be a memorial service at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Road, Willow Street on Tuesday, January 13th at 11 a.m. The family will greet friends after the service.  Traditional private interment will take place in the Georgetown United Methodist Cemetery.
