William Stanley "Stan" Rickards, age 98, formerly of Christiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Keystone Villa in Ephrata.  He was the husband of the late Jeanne Thompson Rickards who died in 2010.  Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Russell W. and Carrie Masten Rickards.  He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.  Stan was an active member of Calvary Monument Bible Church before moving to Ephrata.  He enjoyed a little bit of everything but especially traveling, boating, photography, baking, doing puzzles and helping others.  He was an active volunteer especially at the Lancaster General Hospital up until the age of 92.  He is survived by 4 children: Lesley Mills of Narvon, William Jr. husband of Colette Hudecheck Rickards of Collingdale, Glenda Diggins of Boulder, CO, Jane wife of Adam Winters of Lake Worth, FL, 5 step-children: Melody wife of Richard Link of Newtown Square, Richard Hill of Williamsport, Douglas husband of Jean Regensburg Hill of Lancaster, Cyndi wife of Michael McCann of Wallingford, Scott husband of Susan Wagner Hill of Long Pond, 26 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, numerous great- and step-great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Colette Renee Rickards Nobili, step-son Daniel Hill, and sister Frances Rondum.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th at 11 a.m. at Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise.  The family will greet friends after the service.  Private traditional interment will take place prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Stan's memory to Calvary Monument Bible Church Missions Fund.
