William E. "Bill" Daily, Jr. age 76 of Christiana, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the husband of Diane Stoltzfus Daily with whom he was happily married for 52 years.  Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late William E. Sr. and Betty Barr Daily.  He attended Calvary Monument Bible Church.  He was a graduate of Octorara Area High School.  Bill honorably served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970.  He worked for PennDOT for 32 years before retiring.  He then went to work for Althouse Transportation driving school bus.  In his free time he loved bowling, watching NASCAR, going to the mountains, Wildwood Beach, and Tennessee.  Surviving besides his wife Diane are 2 children; Brian K. Daily of Lancaster, Kimberly, wife of Kevin Smoker of Conestoga, 4 granddaughters whom he always loved; Amanda Daily, Dana Daily, Morgan Smoker, Courtney Smoker, 6 great-grandchildren, and 2 siblings; Brian, husband of Jodi Daily of DE, and Michelle Daily Grow of Strasburg.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Daily, and 2 brothers, Randy and Timothy Daily.  A funeral service will take place at Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, on Tuesday, June 4th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Pastor Scott Althouse will be officiating.  Interment will be in the Calvary Monument Cemetery.
