William J. "Blinky" Snyder

William J. "Blinky" Snyder, age 81 of Christiana, passed away at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was the husband of Nancy Weko Snyder for 60 years. Born in Kistler, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Mckinley Snyder. He worked as a crane operator at Lukens Steel Company. He was a member of the Christiana Masonic Lodge and Christiana American Legion. William enjoyed collecting cards, guns, badges, knives and fishing poles. He was always taking pictures wherever he went.

Surviving besides his wife are his daughter, Billie Jo Snyder Kauffman of Christiana, 3 grandsons: Jeffery, Michael, and Christopher, and 2 nephews: John and Richard Clark. He is preceded in death by a son, Jeffery W. Snyder and sister, Cindy Clark.

A funeral Service will take place from Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth St. Christiana PA, 17509 on Friday, May 9th at 7 p.m. with a viewing from 5 p.m. until the time of service. There will be a Mason Service beginning at 6pm. Pastor Carl Griffin will be officiating. Interment will be in Sadsbury Friends Burial Grounds. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a veteran organization of your choice.
