William W. Bare, 70 of Nottingham, died Thursday, June 12, 2014.He and his wife Joanne Westfall Bare were married for 44 years.Born in Chester County, he was the son of the late Walter Woerth and Ada E. Vannoy Bare.
Mr. Bare started his employment career as a barber, then as a manager for Central Tractor in Lancaster.He last worked for Herr's Foods, first in route sales, then as a security guard and lastly as a tractor trailer driver.
He was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church.
His enjoyments were working on the family farm, tractors, and old cars.His greatest joys were spending time with his children, and playing with his grandchildren, all of who were his pride and joy.
Surviving beside his wife Joanne are 6 children, Shelby wife of J. Kenny Lowe of Nottingham, Christine wife of George Sheldon, III of Quarryville, William "Bill" (Courtney Lockhart) Bare of Quarryville, Dawn wife of Bill Watson of Brownstown, Walter Woerth "Dusty" married to Erica Brackbill Bare III of Quarryville, Wesley "Lee" married to Adrienne Zell Bare of Nottingham; 10 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Martha Ann wife of Ronald McClead of Mt. Joy, Mary Dawn wife of Donald Phillips of Media.He was preceded in death by a sister Alma Lee Landis.
