Warren Frank Peiffer

Warren Frank Peiffer, 92, formerly of Strasburg, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Columbia, PA.
He married his wife Dorothy A. Gehman Peiffer in August of 1953. He was born in Frystown, Berks County, PA on July 4, 1926 to the late Frank and Annie Betozhkie Peiffer.
Over the years, Warren had been employed as a meat cutter for the former Ezra Martin Meat Company for 17 years, and Willie the Butcher, and Carters Baby Clothing.After retirement he worked for Miller/ Siegrist Auctioneer's. He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church.,
He served his country in the US Army as a corporal during WWII with the 101st Airborne.After crossing the Rhine in Germany, he was wounded and received the Purple Heart.
Living in the Strasburg area for most of their lives, they had two children, Richard A. "Rick" husband of Lori Weaver Peiffer of Paradise, Kay A. Peiffer and her partner Deb Sharp of Lancaster; and two grandchildren, Clayton Richard Peiffer and Lindsay Marie Peiffer.
Warren was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 1991 and his sister Pauline Hess in 2018.
Funeral services will be held at Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
