W. Karl Findley, 81, of Quarryville PA, passed away on March 22, 2015.He was the husband of Nancy Eberly Findley.They had celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Karl had farmed on the family farm for much of his life.Following farming, he had worked at the former Wenger Implement, Buck, PA, Landis Brothers John Deere, Mt. Joy, and currently at Buck Hardware.He was an active member of the Quarryville Fire Company, where he had served as chief of the Quarryville Fire Police.
He enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling at the family cabin in Potter County.
Born in Strasburg Township PA, a son of the late Paul M. and Erma G. McKinney Findley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 6 children: William K. (Debra) Findley, Quarryville, Donna (Frank) Mapstone, Wrightsville, Dennis E. (Glenda) Findley, Quarryville, Bonnie Ile, Willow Street, Kevin E. Findley, Quarryville, Terry L. (Patricia) Findley, New Providence, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Robert Findley, Strasburg, Richard Findley, Pequea.
Funeral Service will be at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Michael Wilson officiating.Viewing will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.Burial will be in Quarryville Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chestnut Level Presbyterian Building Fund, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville, PA. 17566.
