Virginia K. Lefever, (Ginny), 91, of Springville Road, Quarryville, PA, passedaway on Wednesday, May 21, 2014,at her home.She was the wife of Carl R. Lefever who passed away November 1999, one day prior to their 54th wedding anniversary.
Ginny was a lifetime member of Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, Quarryville.She was the first female president of church council.She had taught Sunday school, and was chairman of the cemetery committee for many years.Ginny was recently honored in recognition of being the co-founder of Meals on Wheels Solanco-Area.
She had bowled with Thursday Seniors at Garden Spot until health problems.
Ginny drove school bus for the Solanco Schools for 6 years, and drove many of her friends around for a long time.
She was born in Colerain Twp., a daughter of the late Daniel and Bertha Ressler Keen.
She is survived by 3 children;Dennis,husband of Diane Lefever of Quarryville,Susan, wife of George Sauers, Quarryville, Joyce, wife of John Hathaway of Quarryville,2 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters; Bessie Paes, Della Lefever, and brothers; Robert and Veryl Keen
The Funeral Service will be held at Mt. Eden Lutheran Church, 1241 May Post Office Road, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Traci Glover officiating.The burial will be in Mt. Eden Lutheran Cemetery.Visitation will be held at Mt. Eden Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM.
