Violet Kreider Buckwalter

Violet Kreider Buckwalter, 100, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Landis Homes where she lived for the past 22 years. She was the wife of Leon R. Buckwalter who died December 29, 1998.
Violet was a life-long member of Mellinger Mennonite Church, where she was involved in their sewing circle for many years. Sha also did a lot of volunteering at Friendship Community and Landis Homes. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and sold produce at Lancaster Central Market for many years with her family. Spending time at their mountain cabin "Britton Springs" in Centre County brought her much happiness.
Born in West Lampeter Township she was the daughter of the late John L. and Clara Mae Hersh Kreider. She was the last of her immediate family and is survived by four nephews and one niece.
A Memorial Service will be held at Landis Homes, West Bethany Chapel, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00AM with a visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Traditional interment will be held privately in Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
