Verna Lapp

Verna Lapp, age 87, of 536 Cambridge Rd, Narvon, PA, passed away at Carlisle Hospital on Saturday, January 3, 2026, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ben Lapp. Born in Gap, she was the dautgher of the late Elam and Sallie Allgyer Stoltzfus. Verna was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are 8 children: Linda J., wife of Amos M. Stoltzfus of Millersburg, PA, John E. Lapp of Springmills, PA, husband of the late Rosanna Stoltzfus Lapp, Lydia J., wife of Menno Z. Beiler of Blain, PA, Ben K., husband of Katie Stoltzfus Lapp of Petersburg, PA, Steven S., husband of Martha Ann Riehl Lapp of Petersburg, PA, Rose, wife of Jacob King Jr. of Narvon, Susanna S., wife of John King of Narvon and Rebecca F., wife of Sylvan Riehl of Gordonville, 54 grandchildren, 156 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings: Lydia Lantz of Gap, wife of the late Johnathan Lantz, Elsie Smoker of Gap, wife of the late John Smoker and Elam, husband of Rosanna Stoltzfus of Gap.

She is preceded in death by 6 siblings: Melvin Stoltzfus, Rebecca Yoder, Katie King, Lavina Ebersole, Sadie Mae Stoltzfus, Stephen Stoltzfus, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place from the home of John King, 881 Red Hill Road, today, Monday January 5th, 2026 at 12 noon. Interment will be in the Red Hill Amish Cemetery.
