Vera M. Martin, age 97, formerly of Gordonville passed away at Fairmount Homes on Thursday, March 19, 2026.  She was the wife of the late David L. Martin, who passed away on December 8, 2008 and the late Wallace M. Stryker who passed away August 22, 1976.  She was born in Perry County, daughter of the late Charles William & Hattie Gimberling Brown.  She attended the Limeville Church of Gap.  She was a waitress at Gehman's Diner for over 23 years.  Vera enjoyed crafts, sewing dolls and doll clothing, and word puzzles.  She is survived by a son Joseph Stryker of Lancaster and a step son Jeffrey D. husband of Vickie Stauffer Martin of Strasburg, 2 grandsons Dory Ray Brown of Thompsontown and Andy husband of Wendy Rau Martin of Arizona, 4 great grandsons and beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Terry late husband of Tammy Brown of Thompsontown and 7 siblings; Nellie Freet, Jesse Brown, Mabel Potter, Helen Musser, Cloyde Brown, Theodore Brown and Ruby Myers.

A graveside service will take place at St. John's Methodist Cemetery, 3001 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, PA, on Wednesday, March 25th at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Hall officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Vera's memory to Limeville Church, 5783 Limeville Road, Gap, PA 17527
