Thomasine D. Carter, age 91, formally of Quarryville, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was the wife of the late V. Merrill Carter. She was born in Upper Oxford, daughter of the late Thomas O. and Mildred D. Gordon Donnelly. She was a member of Calvary Independent Church in Quarryville. Her kindness was quiet but steady, creating a home where everyone felt safe and cherished. She is survived by 3 daughters: Susan Harnish of Lancaster, Wanda wife of John Findley of Quarryville, and Linda wife of the late Darryl Howard of Lancaster, 8 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and a sister, Joyce wife of the late Milton Edwards of Oxford. She was preceded in death by a son, Vern Carter, and a grandson, Troy Carter.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.  Traditional interment will be in Middle Octorara Presbyterian Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.  Contributions may be made in Mrs. Carter's memory to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, Pa 17604-4125.
