September 29, 1953 – January 28, 2024
Thomas E. Miller, age 70, of Christiana, PA, entered into the presence of Jesus Christ his Savior on Sunday. January 28, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Janice L. Miller Miller for 2.5 years and the late Gloria M. Lapp Miller for 43 years. He was born in Charlottesvile, VA, son of the late Urie and Lena Miller. He was an active member of Nickel Mines Mennonite Church for over 40 years. He was employed by Green Tree Structures and also provided transportation for the Amish community. Previously, he worked for New Enterprise Stone and Lime for 31 years. Tom was a social person and people were very important to him. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and strived to live as a Christian example to them. He also enjoyed reading, traveling, and e-biking. He served with many outreach ministries and on mission boards through the years. Surviving besides his wife are 4 children: Garry L. husband of Rachel Groff Miller of Manheim, T. Derrell husband of Arlyn Bristol Miller of Leola, Sherri L. wife of Kenton Yoder of Mt. Juliet, TN, Lorraine E.wife of Harlan Roggie of Lowville, NY, 19 grandchildren, 2 siblings: Melvin husband of Lavina Stoltzfus Miller of Staunton, VA, Mary Ellen wife of Ervin Wagler of Hunttonsville, WV. He was preceded in death by a grandson Brady Yoder. The Miller family would like to give special thanks and recognition to the LCC, Hospice & Community Care and Lancaster General for their exceptional care of Tom in the past 4 years.
A Funeral Service will take place at the Mine Road Amish Mennonite Church, 5101 Mine Road, Paradise, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastors Raymond Burkholder and Landis Weaver Jr. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in the Nickel Mines Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Light of Hope Evangelistic Ministry, P.O. Box 131, Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
