Terry Allan Mitchell, age 72 of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Deborah Gingrich Mitchell for 47 years.  Born in Confluence, PA, he was the son of the late Ray and Mary Ellen Goller Mitchell.  He was a member of Sea Island Presbyterian Church in Beaufort, South Carolina.  He worked as a mental health case worker at Bedford/Somerset MH/MR.  He worked at Somerset State Hospital in therapeutic recreation and Laurel Highlands SCI in activities.  In his free time, Terry loved fly fishing, hunting, bird watching and traveling. He was also very involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.  Surviving besides his wife are 2 children; Richard, husband of Lori Dixon Mitchell of Lancaster and Tyler, husband of Dene Stoltzfus Mitchell of Atglen and 1 grandchild, Crosby Mitchell.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Barry and David Mitchell.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Spring of 2026.
