Teresa Cutugno Griest

Teresa Cutugno Griest, 84, formerly of Tennyson Drive in Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, August 1, at 6:12 a.m. in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was the beloved wife of Willis N. Griest of Quarryville, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Sicily, Teresa was the daughter of the late Tommaso and Domenica Longo Cutugno. She completed her training at Singer Sewing School and built a career as a skilled seamstress. She worked first at Hager’s Department Store and later at Flexsteel Industries.

In addition to her husband, Teresa is survived by her two children, Michael T. (Jennifer) Griest and Angela J. (James) McKenna; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Angela C. Schneider; and other beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by four siblings.

A private graveside service will be held in St Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster PA.
