Suie E. Welk, age 94, formerly of Georgetown, PA, passed away at Fairmount Homes on Friday, January 2, 2026.  She was the wife of the late George E. Welk, Jr., who passed away on December 31, 2023.  She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Earl W. & Irene Stoner Ross.  She attended High View Church of God.  She graduated from the Southern Lancaster County High School  (Solanco High School) class of 1949.  In the past she had worked in the restaurant at the Strasburg Railroad.  She was a lifetime member of the Special Division of the Bart Fire Company.  She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and the community.   Surviving are 2 sons:  Thomas E. husband of Cindy Hall Welk of Strasburg, Brian G. husband of Ginny Crum Welk of Strasburg, 3 grandchildren: Joshua husband of Jennifer McDuffie Welk of New Providence, Marsha wife of Scott Kauffman of Lancaster, Robb husband of Leah Stillman Beiler of Willow Street, 6 great grandchildren, sister Florence Testerman of Drumore and a sister in law Mary Ross of Quarryville.  She was preceded in death by 10 siblings:  Richard, Galen, Mary Louise, Charles, Robert, Jean, Jack, and Donald Ross, Olive Ressel, and Anna Rineer.

A combined memorial service honoring the life of George & Suie Welk will take place at the Georgetown United Methodist Church, 1070 Georgetown Road, Bart, PA,  on Saturday, January 10th at 11 a.m., with a time to greet the family from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Military honors will be performed by Red Rose Honor Guard.  The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Fairmount Homes for the wonderful care their parents received.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bart Township Fire Company, P.O.
