Stephen A. Hosetter

Stephen A. Hostetter, 66, of Paradise, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dolores “Dee” Hostetter (Bennett) with whom he spent more than 40 beautiful years building a life and family together. Steve was born in Topeka, KS, son of the late Mary A. Hostetter (Rutt) of Ephrata and graduate of Pequea Valley High School class of 1978. Steve owned and operated J.R. Burkholder Auto Body in Paradise, working there since he was 16. A pillar of the Paradise community, he enjoyed his customers and friends that he made through his work. Steve loved spending time with his family and making memories wherever life took them. In his spare time, he enjoyed antiquing, metal detecting, rock collecting, watching the Phillies and Eagles, trips to the beach, time at his river cabin, fishing and boating. He was a steadfast and loving father and enjoyed coaching sports when his kids were young. He also had a passion for antique cars, often starting a new project before the last one was finished. Steve was happiest when he was surrounded by the people and things he loved, always finding joy in the simple moments and adventures along the way. He is survived by his wife and 3 children: Kyle husband of Julia Hostetter (Quigley) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Erik husband of Allison Hostetter (Jones) of Aston, PA, Tara wife of Stefan Kuenzli of New Holland and 5 grandchildren: Trevor, Rylea, Carter, Brayden, and Jordan of whom he loved dearly. Also survived by his sister, Sharon wife of Tony Fox of Pine Bluff, NC, many nieces and nephews, extended family, and close friends.

In lieu of funeral services, the family will host a Celebration of Life at the Gap VFW, 4988 Lincoln Hwy, Kinzers, PA on Friday, July 31st. Drop-in time is between 4-6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Steve’s memory to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
