Sonia A. Ortiz

Sonia A. Ortiz, age 82, of Gordonville, PA, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 30, 2022.  She was the wife of Felix R. Ortiz, with whom she celebrated 22 years of marriage with on September 25th.  She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of Margaret Recupido.  She was a member of the Community Bible Church of Gordonville.  In the past she had worked as a server in fine dining restaurants.  Sonia loved color especially red.  She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, going out to eat, cooking, entertaining and taking old things and making them new.  Surviving besides her husband are her 5 children:  Lisa Marie Guesmi of Lancaster, James Pepper of Norwood, PA, Sonia Pepper of Folsom  PA ,Clarence Pepper of Philadelphia, Colleen Harzi of Morton, PA.   Step children: Felix Ortiz of Philadelphia, Rosamar Ortiz of Cherry Hill, NJ, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a brother Donald Recupido of Woodbury, NJ.  She was preceded in death by a son Craig Pepper and brother: Vincent Recupido.

A celebration of life service will take place at the Community Bible Church, 234 Old Leacock Road, Gordonville, PA, on Sunday July10th at 3 p.m., with at time to greet the family following the service.  Pastor Samuel Furches will be officiating.
