Scott S. Simpson, age 67 of Mountville, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023. He was born in Wilmington, DE, the son of the late Jack and Elizabeth Pauli Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Simpson, 2 step sons: Matthew Clower of Phoenix, AZ, David, husband of Susan, Clower of Gap, and 2 step grandchildren. Scott, always a jokester ended nearly every conversation with a quick quip. And Scott enjoyed people, especially if those people had a delicious dish in hand. He enjoyed Chinese culture and made a variety of Chinese friends with whom he sought to share the love of Jesus.  For several years Scott ran a design studio, Simpson Design, producing artwork and posters for his home church's summer Vacation Bible School. Scott also played keyboard on his church's worship team, adding just the right sound for each unique song.  After moving to a new area, Scott enjoyed attending Faith Bible Fellowship Church and in his jovial way, was beginning to make new friends.

Mt. Vernon Christian Church, 1 Lighthouse Drive, Kirkwood, will be hosting a memorial service on Tuesday, December 12th at 11 am with a meal to follow. Everyone is also encouraged to bring a favorite dessert to the church on Monday, December 11th from 7-8 pm, for a time of remembrance and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon Christian Church in Scott's name.
