Sara Moore Ankrum, 98 of Wynwood Drive Willow Street, PA died at her residence on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
She was born on December 28, 1915 in Mechanic Grove, East Drumore Township, a daughter of the late Russell G. and Maizie Snyder Moore.
She was formerly a seamstress at Dexdale Hosiery Mill, Lansdale, PA, and worked as a demonstrator on the then Nylon Hosiery at the DuPont Exhibit at the New York City World's Fair in 1940. For 25 years she was a seamstress for Tidy Products in Quarryville.
She was a lifelong resident of Lancaster County and resided in Willow Street since 1966.
Sara is survived by a son Thomas M. (Carole) Ankrum with who she resided; and two granddaughters, Jennifer (Jason) Smith of Landisville, PA and Meredith (Christopher) Reinhart of Lancaster, PA.
