November 9, 1960 – October 27, 2024
Samuel B. Zook, age 63, of Atglen, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at home. He was the husband of Sandra Lynn King Zook and would have celebrated 41 years on November 19. Born in Bird in Hand, he was the son of the late Elmer S. and Lizzie Blank Zook. Sam was a member of Freedom Life Church where he served on the security team. He was a self-employed truck driver hauling sheds and gazebos for many years. Most recently he was a driver for B & D Builders of Paradise. Other than enjoying time with his family, he liked tinkering with and collecting tools. He volunteered with various missions organizations in 6 different countries. Sam was a member of Christian Motorcycle Association and was a lifetime member of the Cochranville Fire Company as Fire Police. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons: Blake Zook of Westminster, MD, Trent husband of Courtney Herb Zook of Ephrata, heart-daughter Crystal Lynn of Wyoming, PA, 6 grandchildren: Winifred, Jameson, Bennett, Cheridyn, Christian, Cassie, and 9 siblings: Lena B. wife of Emanuel Fisher of Rockville, IN, Miriam B. wife of Michael Fisher of Quarryville, Ephraim B. husband of Annie Petersheim Zook of Drumore, David B. husband of Hannah Stoltzfoos Zook of Strasburg, Elmer S. Jr. husband of Eva Beiler Zook of Quarryville, Lizzie B. wife of Enos Stoltzfus of Peach Bottom, Rachel B. wife of Christ Miller of Paradise, Sylvia B. wife of Ezra Esh of Quarryville, Sadie B. wife of John Stoltzfus of New Holland. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gideon B. Zook.
There will be a viewing at Freedom Life Church, 447 Noble Road, Christiana, PA, on Saturday, November 2nd from 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of life service will be at the same location, Sunday, November 3rd at 2 p.m. with a greeting time following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sam's memory to the Freedom Life Foundation at freedomlife.churchcenter.com/giving
