Samuel J. Spencer

Samuel J. Spencer, age 90 of Ronks, PA, passed away at his home on Monday, May 26, 2025.  He was the husband of the late Lorna J. George Spencer who passed away on November 21, 2023.  He was born in McGrann, PA, son of the late Samuel Walter & Mary Jane Fiscus Spencer.  He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church of Paradise.  In the past Sam worked as an electrician at C & D Battery of Leola and was a locksmith.  He also provided transportation to the Amish community.  He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.  Sam enjoyed working outside and was an avid bowler.  Surviving is a son Samuel James Bowser of Phoenix, AZ, 3 grandchildren: Chad, Jeremy  & Samantha, 7 great grandchildren, his favorite niece Susan Horton of Lancaster and her sons Brayden and Nicholas who were like his own grandsons.  He was preceded in death by 2 great grandchildren: Mattie Ann & Devon Spencer, 3 siblings: Lucille Gray, Lois Jane Churchill and David Spencer.

Funeral service will take place at Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA, on Friday, May 30th at 2 p.m. with a viewing from 1 p.m. until time of service.  Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
