Samuel S. Stoltzfus, age 83 of Ronks, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 4, 2024.  He was the husband of Susanna L. Petersheim Stoltzfus with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage on November 1st.  He was born in Ronks, son of the late Jacob & Barbara Stoltzfus Stoltzfus.  He was a member of Summitview Christian Fellowship of New Holland.  He was a farmer and later provided transportation to the Amish community.  Sam loved when his family would come to visit and frequently reminded them to stay faithful in the Lord.  Surviving besides his wife are 7 children:  Marvin husband of Ruth Stoltzfus Stoltzfus of Leola, Mahlon Stoltzfus of Ronks, Rose wife of David Beiler of Winfield, PA, Joy Stoltzfus of Gordonville, Mark husband of Rachel Shetler Stoltzfus of St. Thomas, PA, Matthew husband of Jewel Stoltzfus Stoltzfus of Gordonville and Sharon Stoltzfus of Gordonville, a fresh air daughter: Arlene Wilson of Elgin, TX, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 siblings:  Jonathan Stoltzfus of Ronks, Amos husband of Katie Smucker Stoltzfus of Gap, Lizzie Lantz of Gordonville, and a sister in law: Annie wife of Vernon Nissley of Lewistown.  He was preceded in death by 6 siblings: Mary, Elmer, John, Dan, Jacob Stoltzfus  and  Gideon late husband of Edna Stoltzfus of Gordonville.  The family would like to thank Hospice and Community Care for their excellent care of Sam the past few months.

Funeral service will take place at Summitview Christian Fellowship, 144 Summitville Road, New Holland, PA, on Wednesday, August 7th at 11 a.m.  There will also be a viewing at the church on Tuesday from 2 to 4p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
