Ruth F. Lapp Maxwell, age 78 of Landisburg, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the home of her niece.  She was the wife of the late Sam Maxwell. Born in Myerstown, she was the daughter of the late John K. and Rachel Fisher Lapp.  She was a member of Kennedy Valley Church of God.  Ruth formerly worked as a school teacher.  Surviving are 2 step sons, David and Josh Maxwell, 6 siblings; Christian, husband of Emma Lapp of Watsontown, Levi, husband of the late Elizabeth Lapp of Morgantown, Emma, wife of the late David King of Myerstown, Phares, husband of Hannah Lapp of Ronks, Aaron, husband of Fannie Lapp of Myerstown, Rebecca, wife of Samuel Riehl of Gordonville, sister-in-laws; Naomi, wife of the late John Lapp of Myerstown, Elizabeth, wife of John Zook and the late David Lapp of Myerstown and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by 3 siblings, David and John Lapp and Susie Riehl.

A funeral service will take place at Bethel Christian Fellowship, 145 Boot Jack Road, Narvon, on Wednesday, January 22nd at 10 a.m.  There will be a viewing time at the church on Tuesday evening from 4 to 7 p.m.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
