Ruth L. Kauffman, age 94, of Atglen, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, May 9, 2025. She was the wife of Timothy K. Kauffman with whom she celebrated 73 years of marriage on March 8th. She was born in Pocomoke City, MD, daughter of the late William L & Sadie A. Swartzentruber Stoltzfus. She was a member of Community Bible Church of Gordonville, but presently attending Manor Presbyterian of Cochranville. She was a homemaker and partner with her husband for many years on the family farm. She graduated from Lancaster Bible College Adult Enrichment Program. She enjoyed Bible study teaching and leading mothers groups, and also personal counseling. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, crocheting and creating family photo history books. And most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was a special person with a warm smile, who found her hope not in the systems of this world, but in the words of Scripture. Isaiah 40:8, The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.

Surviving besides her husband are 5 children: Linda S. Yost of Christiana, David T. husband of Rita Colley Kauffman of Atglen, J. Kenneth Kauffman of Atglen, Christine M. wife of Austin "Dutch" Ham of Quarryville, Sharon R. wife of Charles "Chuck" Simmons of Marietta, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grand children and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 siblings: Mabel, Hiram, Anna & Esther Stoltzfus.

Funeral service will take place at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, 549 Swan Road, Atglen, PA, on Friday, May 16th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until time of service. Manor pastor Daniel Henderson will be officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Contributions honoring Ruth may be made to the Denlingers in Israel.
