Ruth E. Cromie, age 97 of Nottingham, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026.  She was the wife of the late John S. Cromie who passed away in 1967.  Born in Hyde, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Evans Zimmerman.  She was a graduate of Clearfield High School in 1947, where she played basketball and softball.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Philadelphia Psychiatric Center.  In her free time, Ruth loved golfing at Springhaven Country Club, where she was Club Senior Champion for multiple years and where she made lifelong friends. She also enjoyed bowling, watching the Phillies and Eagles, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She is survived by 4 children; Linda Cromie of Brook Haven, PA, Gail, wife of Richard Craig of Honey Brook, Scott, husband of Alicia Cromie of Nottingham, Robert, husband of Mariann Cromie of Havertown, 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a sister, Pattie Rowles of Montana.  She was preceded in death by 4 siblings.  Services will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ruth's honor to Elwyn.org  .
