Ruth B. Beiler

Ruth B. Zook Beiler, 89, of Kinzers, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was born in Gap, daughter of the late Amos and Rebecca Beiler Zook. Her husband of 68 years, Elvin L. Beiler, passed away on April 16, 2024. She is survived by her six children, Clair E. husband of Verna Glick Beiler, Paradise; Loretta J. wife of Eugene Z. Smucker, New Holland; Robert L, husband of Linda Brubaker Beiler, Gap; Lyndon S. husband of Evonne Groff Beiler, Rexville, NY; Galen D. husband of Marcella Hess Beiler, Kinzers; Delbert B. husband of Kristi Nissley Beiler, Millersville; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Beiler, and all her siblings, John Zook, Elizabeth Zook, Emanuel Zook, Mary Zook, Amos Zook, Phares Zook, Jonas Zook, Esther Zook Esh and Miriam Zook Miller.

Ruth was a member of Life Mennonite Fellowship Church in Willow Street. She cared well for her family and was an accomplished seamstress for many years. She loved spending time with her family, hunting, playing harmonica and singing. Even when she could no longer carry on a conversation, she could remember the tunes to many songs. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The Beiler family would like to thank Galen and Marcy Beiler, with whom she lived, and other caregivers for the wonderful support that was given to Ruth the past few years. Willow Tree Hospice provided loving care as well in the last 2 months of Ruth's life.

Memorial service will take place at Millwood Mennonite Church, 441 Amish Road, Gap, PA, on Monday, June 17th  at 11 a.m.  There will be a viewing at Millwood Mennonite Church on Sunday, June 16th from 5 to 8 p.m.  A private interment will take place in the Millwood Mennonite Cemetery.  There will be no viewing on Monday, the family will greet friends following the service.
