Ruth B. Bair

Ruth B. Bair, 99, of Quarryville, PA, formerly of Strasburg, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017 at QPRC.She was the widow of the late Tedford L. Bair, who passed away in 1990.
Ruth had been employed as a book keeper for Armstrong Co, the former First National Bank of Strasburg, and the Choo-Choo Barn.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Strasburg.Ruth had also been a member of the Paul Strubel VFW Post Auxiliary, Strasburg Auxiliary for Lancaster General Hospital, Strasburg Senior Citizens, and Lancaster Chapter #501 Order of the Eastern Star. In her younger years, Ruth was an avid softball player where she played for the Strasburg Women's Team, and was selected for the County All-Star Team, Northern Lights.
Ruth was born in Strasburg PA, a daughter of the late Ira J. and Ada Brown Book.
She is survived by 2 sons, William Bair, Atglen, Larry Bair, (Sandra), Frederick, MD, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and her sister Mary Winters, Lancaster.She was predeceased by a son Jeffrey Clay Bair, and siblings, Walter and Carl Book, and Mae Shissler.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at Wesley United Methodist Church, 40 West Main Street, Strasburg, PA, on Friday, June 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM.
