Ruby V. Blevins, 101, of Quarryville PA, passed away on March 1, 2016.She was the wife of the late Lester W.Blevins, who passed away in 2010.
Born in Chilhowie VA, Ruby was a daughter of the late William and Lona Davis Hash.
She was a charter member of the Wrightsdale Baptist Church.Ruby enjoyed sewing, quilting, spending time in Okeechobee, FL, and being with her family.She had been employed by both the former Schick and RCA companies, Lancaster, and had retired from Watt and Shand store in the drapery department.
Ruby is survived by 2 children, R. Dean Blevins (Barbara Sue), Quarryville, Barbara Spiller (Ralph), Summerfield, FL, 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren: 2 sisters, Kathleen Hash, Quarryville, and Jean Rathel, New Providence.Ruby was predeceased by siblings; Cecil, Robert, Carl, Samuel, Gerald Hash, and Okie Spencer.
Funeral services will be held at Wrightsdale Baptist Church, 310 Little Britain Road, Peach Bottom, PA, on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11:00 AM, with pastor Steve Sheldon officiating.There will be a viewing held Sunday evening at Reynolds Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA from 6:30-8:00 PM, and at the church, one hour prior to the service Monday from 10-11:00 AM.Private family graveside service will be in the Mt.
