Roy E. Groff

Roy E. Groff, Jr. age 87 of Quarryville, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Newport Meadows Nursing & Rehab.  He was the husband of Hilda Groff and the late Eleanor Groff.  Born in Avondale, he was the son of the late Roy E. & Ethel Scheuing Groff.  He worked as a dairy farmer and he loved potatoes and spending time with his family.  Surviving besides his wife are 7 children; Roy E. III, husband of Vicki Hollins Groff of Willow Street, Donna L. Welk, significant other of Mark Dugan of Christiana, Dee L., wife of Brian Fling of Coatesville, Terry L. Groff, significant other of Janet Scott of Downingtown, Jeff J. Groff of Lampeter, Bryan G. Groff of Philadelphia, Jennifer L., wife of Dennis Russell of Coatesville, 4 step-children; Dale, husband of Carolyn Stoltzfus of Coatesville, Carol, wife of Mike Mghee of Quarryville, Debbie, wife of Charlie Wertz of New Providence, Albert Stoltzfus of New Providence, numerous grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren and 4 sisters.  He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Gail Stoltzfus and 6 siblings.

A graveside service will take place at Georgetown Methodist Cemetery, 1070 Georgetown Road, Paradise on Wednesday, November 27th at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA 17566 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
