Roy H. Book, 92, of Ronks, went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2025 after a brief illness.

Roy was the loving husband of Ruth H. Book who preceded him in 2022. They were married for 69 years.  He was the son of the late Harold K. and Cora Hershey Book.  Roy was born on the family farm that he loved and where he spent most of his life.

Roy loved the Lord and was a member of Mill Creek Bible Church.

He was a Dairyman and Farmer for most of his life.  The farm being recognized as a Dairy of Distinction.  In addition, he operated a farm seed business to hundreds of almost exclusive Old-Order Amish, a community for which he had deep appreciation and admiration.  The seed business was less about sales and more about connecting with fellow Farmers.

For many years Roy served as a Director for the Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative and the PA Dairymen's Association.

Roy is survived by 3 children, Donna Cook (husband Mike) of Aurora, IL, R. William Book (wife Diane) of Ronks, and Robert Book of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Marian Groff of Mt. Joy, Rhoda Mast (husband Ora) of Lancaster, and Miriam Book (husband Jim Lapp) of Lancaster.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty J. Kreider and Helen Rutt.

A private interment will be held by the family at Paradise Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers. Contributions may be made in Roy's memory to Mill Creek Bible Church, 270 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602.  Arrangements by Murray A. Miller
