Rose Marie Wiley Musser, 62, of Willow Street, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Born on June 18, 1951 in Monahans, Texas she was the daughter of Sarah M. Wiley, Lancaster. She was married to Abner G. (Skip) Musser III for 25 years, living in Quarryville.
Rose grew up in Lancaster and later lived with Clarence and Carolyn Wenger during her high school years, graduating from Solanco High School in 1969.She enjoyed living in Germany in 1971 where her first son was born.She continued her education at Empire Beauty School and worked as a professional hair stylist at Ellen Musser's Beauty Nook.She later had a career with the US Postal Service and retired after 20 plus years of service.
Rose was a loving and committed mother enjoying the adventures of raising three sons and lovingly supported each of them through their many activities and sports events. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed going to Delaware and Outer Banks beaches, flower gardening, reading, decorating, collecting artwork from various local artists, feeding her birds, and going to yard sales.Most of all, she loved spending time with her granddaughters Kylee and Morgan Musser. Rose will be lovingly missed by her sons, Abner Gray Musser IV of Peach Bottom, Nathan S. Musser of Quarryville, and Matthew D. Musser of Holtwood, her mother Sarah M. Wiley, Lancaster,her sisters Jan Duffy and Dottie VanAulen, her granddaughters, her many nieces, nephews, extended family and good friends.
