Ronald L. Hornberger

Ronald L. Hornberger, age 63 of Quarryville, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Lancaster General Hospital.  He was the loving husband of Florence Merklinger Hornberger for nearly 45 years.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harold E. and Dora F. Hirneisen Hornberger.  He graduated from Pequea Valley High School and completed some VoTech Schooling.  After school, he worked as a carpenter for many years.  In his free time, he loved gardening, wood working and being with his family.  Surviving besides his wife are 2 daughters; Janice Marie, wife of Kevin Caskey of Quarryville, Denise Ann, wife of Chad Finch of Exton, a granddaughter; Courtney Finch and 3 siblings; Barbara Ann Rodman-Myers of Brownstown, John Allen, husband of Sandy Merklinger Hornberger of Leola and Joan F. Gappa of Ephrata.  He was preceded in death by a brother, James Dale Hornberger. A funeral service will take place at Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, on Saturday, August 30th at 11 a.m. with a viewing time from 10 a.m. until the time of service.  Pastor James Davis will be officiating.  Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
