Robin Anne Heinrich

Robin Anne Heinrich, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2022.
Robin is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 33 years, Gary Heinrich, along with their three devoted children Gordon Heinrich and his wife Ashlyn of Perkasie, PA, Grace Heinrich of Narvon, PA, and Joshua Heinrich and his wife Janae of Gordonville, PA. She is also survived by her brother Tim Wintermute and his wife Penny of Hampton, NJ, her sister Pamela Goff and her husband Jay of Asbury, NJ, and a gang of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
In addition, Robin is survived by her parents David and Joanne Wintermute of Annandale, NJ, with whom she shared a close and special bond. Her entire family is shattered by this sudden loss.
Sadly, Robin is predeceased by her son Trevor Heinrich who passed away in 2019. We can only imagine that their reunion in heaven was a joyful and tender celebration.
Robin was born in Flemington, NJ, on February 17, 1966, grew up in nearby Califon where she graduated from Voorhees High School in 1984, went on to Messiah College where she overcame a learning disability to earn her nursing degree, then moved around a bit before settling in Narvon, PA to raise her beautiful family with Gary.
If you knew Robin you knew love, kindness, gentleness, selflessness. You understood what it meant to be Christ-like. Her salvation was the cornerstone of every aspect of her life and the foundation of her many relationships. You felt seen in Robin's presence, important. She seemed to radiate light. She loved well and generously, and she loved spending time with family and friends.
Robin lived a joyous life. She loved traveling, particularly if the destination was a beach, particularly if the beach was good for shell-seeking. She loved gardening and putting up food. She loved knitting, bike rides, sunsets, peanut M&Ms, flea markets, antiques, horses, hiking, puzzles, Bible studies, and finding great deals. And along the line somewhere, Robin discovered one of her great loves in this life: her passion for serving communities devoid of  medical service, particularly in the countries of Sierra Leone and Haiti where her labor of love and abundant optimism provided hope, help, and healing to those she served. Robin's genuine and contagious smile was sometimes as healing as the medicines she administered. She touched so many lives in her generous service.
In recent months, Robin had the great pleasure of being the mother-of-the-groom twice,  joyfully welcoming two new daughters into the Heinrich clan. She let that happiness carry her through the bitter news that the cancer she had beaten eighteen years ago had returned. After her chemotherapy, Gary wrote about her in the most accurate way: " She is…a gentle warrior with a spirit of kindness filled with a golden heart." Heaven has now gained that golden heart; God took back one of his best.
All are welcome to attend the viewing for Robin at her home church, the Worship Center of Lancaster at 2384 New Holland Pike in Lancaster, PA on Thursday, September 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Private burial will take place in the Meadville Mennonite Cemetery on Friday morning prior to the memorial service which will be on Friday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Robin's Medical Mission organization, Horizons of Hope, ℅ Dan Smucker, 1896 Beverly Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
