Robert Y. Weaver

Robert Y. Weaver passed into the arms of his maker on Friday, September 14, 2018 after courageously battling health issues for some time.He reunites in heaven with his mother, Helen Yuninger Weaver Roberts, his father Elvin W. Weaver and sister, Julianne W. Hildenbrand.
Bobby will be remembered by friends and family by the exemplary work ethic he demonstrated. His hard work began at the young age of ten.Bobby, along with his mother and sisters operated produce stands at Central and Arcade Markets in Lancaster. As a young man he took great pride in caring for his beloved horse, Lindy. When he turned sixteen years of age his passion turned to cars. As life progressed, he enjoyed driving his 1962 Chevrolet Corvette and restoring his 1940 Ford Coupe.
A constant theme that remained throughout his life was the importance he placed on a "job done right."He was employed as a master plumber for J.R. Reynolds, Inc. for thirty-four years. He was respected on whatever job site he was a part of, and he ran his projects with intellect and precision.
He was a member of Christiana Lodge #417, Free and Accepted Masons.
For how much he obsessed over work, there was one aspect of his life that took precedent over everything else, his family. He spent forty-eight years of his life married to Jacqulyn L. (sample) Weaver. He loved his daughter, Traci Hoffman, wife of Ron Hoffman, and his son Robert W. Weaver, husband of Georgia (Rolko) Weaver. Bobby could often be heard referring to the former as "Sis", and the latter as "you dumb boy!"Bobby was an incredible role model to his five grandchildren, Seth Rolko, Taylor Elias, Jordan Weaver, Kylie Weaver, and Zachary Elias.Bobby also cared deeply for his sister, Dorothy "Tootsie" Fenninger, wife of Lloyd Fenninger, and all of his nieces and nephews.
His memory will be engraved in all the lives he touched. This community has lost a master craftsman, a model father, a devout Dallas Cowboys fan, and a man who will never be replaced.
Funeral services will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg, 101 South Decatur Street, Strasburg, PA on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:00AM with Pastor Mark Thiboldeaux officiating.Interment will follow in Longenecker's Reformed Mennonite Cemetery.Viewings will be held at the church on Wednesday, from 6:00-8:00PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.Contributions may be made in Mr. Weaver's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
