Robert L. Keene, age 81 of Smoketown, PA, passed away at the Mt. Joy Hospice Center on Thursday, December 5, 2024.  He was born in Bart, PA, son of the late John M. Sr. & Hannah Gilbert Keene.  He graduated from Solanco High School.  He retired from Farmers First Bank of Wakefield, where he served as Branch Manager.  He served in the U.S. Army.  Bob was a member of the Lafayette Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and the Christiana American Legion.  He enjoyed fishing, golf, crossword puzzels and hunting.  Surviving is a brother Samuel B. huband of Darla Keene of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by 5 siblings:  John 'Jack" Keene, Jr., Carol Brown, Helen Keene, Arlene Ross and Janet Ream.

Funeral service will take place at the Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana, PA, on Wednesday, December 11th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Thiboldeaux, Sr. officiating.  The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will take place in the Georgetown Methodist Cemetery.
