Robert Lee Haldeman, Jr. joined the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2025.  He passed away peacefully in his Willow Street home surrounded by his family.  Robert was the biological son of the late Robert and Dorothy Lefever Haldeman.  He was the foster son of the late Charles and Edith Dissinger Herman.  Married for over 52 years, his wife; May Lucinda Carter Haldeman has been waiting to reunite with him since her passing in April of 2018.  Robert is survived by 2 sons, a daughter; Wenda Renee Haldeman and 4 grandsons that he adored; Robert Haldeman, Spencer Haldeman, and Kurt Edward Pinker, husband of Callie Sturges Pinker.  He is a 1961 graduate of Solanco High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was employed by the former American Hardware in Parkesburg, PA.  He raised his family in Drumore and later moved to Willow Street in 1991.  He enjoyed traveling America with his wife in their numerous motorhomes throughout the years.  He gave his life to Christ and attended Bible Studies and Sunday Services at Highview Church of God and also attended the Wednesday evening Faith & Food gathering at Chestnut Level with his loving in-laws.  During his later years he was blessed to find The Building Bridges Foundation where he was able to spend time with other veterans, share stories and acquire precious friendships.

A memorial service will take place at Reynolds & Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Saturday, April 12th at 11 a.m. with a visitation time for 9 a.m. until the time of service.  There will also be a visitation time at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.  Interment will be in the Drumore Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Robert's memory to The Building Bridges Foundation at Anderson Farm.  Donations can be mailed to 230 Indian Hill Road, Conestoga, PA 17516 or given online at www.buildingbridgesfoundation.org.
