Riley A. Dickens, Jr.

Riley A. Dickens, Jr., 66, of Stonewood Drive, Gap, PA died of natural causes at his residence on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. He and his wife Joyce A. Souders Dickens celebrated 44 years of marriage.  Born in Elkton, MD he was the son of Agnus Himmelright Wyatt of Peach Bottom and the late Riley A. Dickens, Sr.

Riley had been employed by the former Harrison House in Christiana where he was employed as an orderly and maintenance. Riley was also very instrumental in raising his children.

His enjoyments were fishing, crocheting, working in his shed building things, and a good card game, but most of all spending time with family every chance that he got.

Surviving beside his wife and mother are two children, Shannon N. Dickens of Gap, Dwane A. Dickens of Willow Street; 1 step grandson; 7 younger siblings; 5 step siblings; 6 extended siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Shivery Funeral Home, 111 Elizabeth Street, Christiana PA 17509 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
