Richard R. Warner, Sr., 75, of Lancaster Pike Quarryville, PA died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital.He and his wife, Mary E. Henry Warner were married for 36 years. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Harry and Mary E. Stauffer Warner, Jr.
He was a member of Smithville Church of God. A retired truck driver, he drove for and was a member of Teamsters Union #771 for 42 years.
Mr. Warner served his country in the US Army, Company "B" as a sergeant during the Vietnam War.
Richard enjoyed fishing and camping.
Surviving beside his wife is a son Richard R. "Rick" (Cindi) Warner, Jr. of Hattieville, AK; a daughter Mary Ann (Jeff) Gerlach of Millersville; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 stepsons, Dennis J. (Shirley) Witmer of New Providence, Kenneth E. Witmer of Holtwood, James A. Witmer of Mountville; 4 step grandchildren; and 5 step great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his aunt Helen Walker.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastors Richard G. Miller and Robert L. Bell officiating.Interment will follow in Riverview Burial Park.Viewings will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 6:30-8:30PM and again on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of service.
