Richard K. Mcvey

Richard K. McVey, 84, of Lancaster, PA died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Mercy Suburban Hospital, Norristown, PA.
Born in Providence Township, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Mary Elizabeth Groff McVey.
Mr. McVey had previously been employed by the former ALCOA Company as a mechanic in the fastener department.After the plant closed he worked for Precision Forms, Lititz, PA from which he retired.He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, serving overseas in Italy.
He enjoyed going to public auctions.
Surviving him are 4 siblings, Marian Boone of Quarryville, Jeanne Connor of Lititz, Donald E. (Kathy) McVey of New Providence, Harold M. McVey of New Providence; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by 4 siblings, Robert McVey, Walter McVey, Jr., Janet White and Nancy Scott.
Funeral services will be held at Reynolds Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Quarryville Cemetery.A viewing will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service.
