Richard "Dick" Miller, 85, of Quarryville, PA, formerly of Cochranville, PA passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community.He was the husband of Charlotte Kreider Miller, and the late Vera Ridinger Miller who died in 2003.
Dick had retired after 33 years working as a route salesman for Herr's Potato Chips, Nottingham.
He was a member of Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, Quarryville.He was also a member of the Cochranville Fire Company and Odd Fellows.
Dick enjoyed traveling, and wood working.
He was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Vernon and Dora Shank Miller.
In addition to his wife Charlotte, he is survived by 3 children: Richard F. Miller, Jr. and wife Cindi, of Willow Street, PA., Dale Miller and wife Bonnie, of Cochranville, PA, Pam Garver and husband Richard, Paradise, PA, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary-Emma Bollinger, Lancaster. He was predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters.
The Funeral Service will be held at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren, 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor James Rhen officiating.The burial will be in Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren Cemetery.Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 1-2:00 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren.
