Richard "Doc" J. Vanderslice

Richard J. "Doc" Vanderslice, age 68 formerly of Christiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Norristown, son of the late William T. Vanderslice, Sr. & the late Grace Vanderslice Edgington. He loved music, fishing, coffee and visiting with family and friends. Surviving are 3 siblings: William T. Jr. husband of Shirley of Norristown, David J. Vanderslice of Indiana and Lisa A. Heisler of Peach Bottom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be hosted by and take place at the Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Chapel, 900 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, on Saturday, October 24th at 2 p.m.
