Reuben Z. Stoltzfus, 78, of Strasburg, PA passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at the Lebanon VA Hospital.  He was the husband of Barbara J. Groff Stoltzfus.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Samuel U. and Emma Glick Stoltzfus.

Reuben had been employed as a truck driver, first for MFX and then for LCSWMA from which he retired after 20 years of service.

He attended First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg.

A US Army veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart, he served as a sentry dog handler with his partner dog "Rex" with the Military Police in Vietnam. He always enjoyed telling people about the sentry dogs used in the service. His love of dogs led him to become a member of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race Club.

Reuben was a lifetime member of Millersville VFW, Lodge #7294.

Surviving beside his wife Barbara is a son, Keith (Amy) Stoltzfus; 2 grandchildren, Erin Nicole Stoltzfus and Kyle Jeffrey Stoltzfus; a brother and 4 sisters.

He was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Stoltzfus.
