Raymond V. Sheets, age 64, of Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA died Sunday, January 18, 2015 as the result of an automobile accident.He was the husband of Diane Ulrich Sheets.Born in Fulton Township he was the son of the late Vance and Donna Mae Brewer Sheets.
Raymond retired from the auto industry and was currently working for Kirkwood Repair & Auto Sales where he was employed as a used car salesman.
He was a member of the Croaking Frogs, Quarryville.An avid auto enthusiast, he enjoyed drag racing, and muscle cars, especially his '67 Camaro which he named "Blackie".His family played a very important part of his life as did his dog "Mater".
Surviving beside his wife Diane are two daughters, Jessica L. Sheets of Peach Bottom, Kristen N. Sheets of Millersville; two grandchildren, Blaine and Savannah of Peach Bottom; a brother Ralph (Beatrice) Sheets of Quarryville; and a sister Rosalie Douglas of Quarryville.
Raymond was preceded in death by a sister Naomi Barlow and two brothers David J. Sheets and George Sheets.
A memorial service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 7:00PM with Rev. R. Blake Deibler officiating.The family will receive friends informally following the service.
