Ralph L. Stoltzfus, age 78, of Kirkwood, PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in his home. He was the beloved husband of Marion Ilene Carr Stoltzfus, with whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage on August 29. He was born on September 11, 1945, in Honey Brook, PA, son of the late Eby E. & Lena Smoker Stoltzfus. Ralph was a 1963 graduate of Octorara High School.
Ralph was an avid farmer for many years and worked in excavating for most of his working career. Everyone knew him for his kind nature and willingness to lend a hand. Ralph was a big family man, he loved spending his free time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He enjoyed various activities of hunting, fishing, bowling, and many years of clamming. His love for motorcycles began in his younger days with participating in hill climbing events and led to riding his Honda Gold Wing through 27 states with his wife and friends. Ralph was inducted into the SCC Softball Hall of Fame in 2003. He was also a life member of the Cochranville Fire Company and an active member of Wesley Church of Quarryville, Pa.
Surviving besides his wife are 4 children: Charles L. Stoltzfus of Cochranville, Kimberly A. "Gumby" Harvey of Oxford, Gerald A. Stoltzfus (Monica) of Cochranville, Brian E. Stoltzfus of Quarryville. 8 grandchildren: Lena Audette (Michael) J.T Harvey, Brooke Stoltzfus, Kayla Stoltzfus, Carley Stoltzfus, Dustin Stoltzfus, Paige Stoltzfus, and Mason Stoltzfus. 3 great grandchildren: Aubrey and Andrew Audette and Brynlee Stoltzfus. 4 brothers: Abner Stoltzfus of Cochranville, Robert Stoltzfus (Pauline) of Christiana, Donald Stoltzfus (Debra) of Christiana, Alvin Stoltzfus (Sue) of Strasburg and 4 step siblings. He was preceded in death by a younger brother Kenneth Stoltzfus and stepmother Ann Lamborn Stoltzfus.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday December 7, 2023 at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA, with a time to greet the family from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Service with Pastor Blake Deibler officiating will begin at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made towards The Needhams American Gospel Music Group in honor of Ralph's favorite Christian worship group.
