Ralph A. McDowell Jr., age 68 of Nottingham, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at home. He was the husband of Pamela Moore McDowell. He was born in West Grove, son of Ralph A. McDowell Sr. of Rising Sun, MD and the late Jeanette M. Cox McDowell. Ralph was instrumental in the starting of the Solanco Little League, where he coached and umpired. He enjoyed fishing, mowing his grass, landscaping, playing the drums, but most of all, he loved his family, especially his two grand daughters. Surviving besides his wife are 2 children: Wil Clark, and Jasmine Grimm both of Quarryville, 2 grand daughters: Kinley Rae, and Ellie Mae Clark, and a sister, Rita Dixon of Colora, MD.

A memorial service will take place from Reynolds and Shivery Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, on Friday, March 8th at 3 p.m. Pastor Blake Deibler will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, Ralph would like you to plant a tree to feed the deer, or a flower, to feed the bees, anything to bring wildlife in you life.
