Peter Rodney Dalgaard

Peter Rodney Dalgaard, 73 of Springside Drive Quarryville, PA passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital. He and his wife Diane Schlemmer Dalgaard celebrated 42 years of marriage. Born in Media, PA he was the son of the late Kaj Viggo and Edith Lone Curdt Dalgaard.
Peter graduated from Ridley High School and Penn Morton College (Weidner University), receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration.
He retired from Excelon after 50 years of service, as an electrical maintenance planner.
He served his country during the Vietnam War in the US Air Force with the 3902 Civil Engineering Squad.
Peter was a Philadelphia sports fan, and was an avid fisherman and hunter of North American big game.
Surviving beside his wife are 3 children, Kyleigh Dalgaard and her partner Scott Stauffer of Leola, Kristin wife of Kyle Richelderfer of Greer, SC, Peter "P.J." Dalgaard Jr. and his fianc Karla Neiman of Quarryville; 2 grandchildren, Brent Kincaid and Conor Stauffer; and a sister Andrea Dalgaard of Delaware County.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00AM with Rev. Mark M. Speitel as celebrant. Final commendation and farewell will be in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery.
