Pauline E. "Polly" Mitchell

Pauline E. "Polly" Mitchell, age 104 of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at Pleasant View Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late William J. F. Mitchell. She was born in Rapho Township, daughter to the late Jacob R. and Anna Mabel Ritz Ober. Polly enjoyed crocheting, cooking, doing puzzles, but most of all she loved family gatherings. She is survived by 4 children: Doris L. Mitchell of Lancaster, John W. husband of Susan Mitchell of Kinzers, Jacob R. husband of Cheryl Mitchell of Lancaster, Suzanne C. Mitchell of Lancaster, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 children: Cynthia Mitchell, Thomas E. Mitchell, Sylvia A., late wife of Francis Ottey of Lancaster, a great granddaughter, Ashlyn Metzger, and 3 siblings, Sylvia M. Royer, Alice M. Reddinger, and Mary Ober.

Services will be held privately by the family with internment in Georgetown Methodist Cemetery.
